On 25 February 2016, Mr. Rolf Dieter Daniel, EABC President led EABC Executives team to pay a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Apisak Tantivorawong, Minister of Finance at the Ministry of Finance. Discussion included resuming of the EU-Thailand FTA negotiation for mutual benefits of the two economies, investment plan in 10 future industries, financial sector liberalization, Foreign Business Act, tax reform, rules and regulation for Customs Free Zone (CFZ), among others. At the end of meeting, EABC highlighted the importance of the Finance Ministry's support to leveraging a level playing field of SMEs in Thailand through finance access. Actions taken will help boosting the Thai economy in the long-term. On this occasion, the Minister of Finance also invited EABC to participate in a working group with the Ministry in the future.
