EABC (through its ICT Working Group) has developed a policy on Trusted Internet and the Single Gateway Idea. The EABC recommendation is to support an effective and efficient, safe and secure internet. A single international gateway would not help and would not support Digital Economy objectives. This matter was discussed by the EABC Board at its meeting on 14 October.
 
Based on comments at the Post Forum on 15 October it seems that Cabinet does not plan to proceed with a single gateway plan. The policy recommendation is wider however and covers policies and laws in support of a Trusted Internet concept.  EABC (through its ICT Working Group) has developed a schematic and definition of Digital Economy.
