Courtesy Dialogue with Minister of ICT 12 November 2015
Representatives of the ICT Working Group, along with JFCCT ICT and Amcham, participated in a courtesy dialogue with His Excellency the Minister for ICT and his staff at his offices on Thursday 12 November. Topics discussed included structural reform of the telecoms sector, the evolution and role of State-Owned Enterprises, a Trusted Internet, skills in the sector and the free movement of skilled labour, investment promotion policies, competition regulation, the family of Digital Economy laws including cybersecurity and data privacy (including cross-border use). His Excellency invited further dialogue, especially on the Digital Economy laws. The ICT Working Group is most grateful to His Excellency for the generosity shown in hearing the ICT Working Group and for advising on further details of government policy.

Mr Fox is presenting a token of thanks – a book on international data privacy law by a leading Australian-based Swedish legal academic, who has consulted with the ICT Working Group on the issue.
