Enhancing EABC as a constructive dialogue partner, on 5 November 2013, European ASEAN Business Centre (EABC) was welcomed to the Government House for high-level dialogue with the Deputy Prime Minister Pongthep Thepkanjana. EABC highlighted its key priorities towards industrial policy on Healthcare and Pharmaceutical—bringing interrelation between the favorable condition for investment and economic growth – hand in hand through innovative corporation and technology transfer. There was also a spotlight onto skilled labour force with EABC supportive solution on public private partnership and liberalisation of the service sector aiming to enhance Thailand education system and free movement of the skilled labour. Energy and Energy Efficiency was also engaged in perspective of strengthening Thailand energy security to support continuous growth of Thailand energy demand and to ensure viable public policy to encourage the investment. With regards to long-term partnership, EABC’s alcohol beverage industry expressed its full support towards community initiatives that could and would benefit public health interest. The discussion concluded with positive commitment on future cooperation in several ministries/counterparts aiming to encourage Thailand economic development with support from European Business.
